What’s on this week at St Mary’s? –  from 30th Jan – Sunday 6th Feb

• This Sunday we will celebrate Candlemas, the presentation of Christ in the temple, with a service of Holy Communion led by the Reverend Alastair Prince at 10.45am
• Next Thursday, 3rd of February, Churches Together in Gainford will hold its Annual General Meeting in the Village Hall Supper room at 7pm. Wico Van Mourik and Billy Bartlett will give an illustrated talk on their work with the Seafarer’s Mission at Teesport. They both live in Gainford.  All are welcome.
• On Sunday the 6th of February a Service of the Word at 10.45am will commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Queen’s accession
