Our History

History - A rich story to look back upon

We are fortunate to have an talented, energised History team who provide richly detailed articles about both St Andrew’s Church and the broader community.

A History of the Church

We’re fortunate to be blessed with a fabulous site with outstanding views, a picturesque Church building and all of this situated perched high above the green fields of Teesdale.  If you’re interested in finding out about the Church there is no better place to explore from than here.

A History of the Area

Our history team have a planned series of articles focusing on local stories – stretching from those long, long ago to those in recent memory.  Just as the church community was connected to the area differently back then, we want to reconnect you with that time with detailed, facinating stories about those people who lived in the same area we call home.   Make sure to check-in to catch our latest articles.

Events

Please consider giving

The Church and our community projects exist because of your generosity.  We run programmes for all age groups in the community throughout the year, work with schools, organise activities and put our faith into practice as much as possible.  If you’re able to donate even a small amount 100% of this is returned into the community.
