Acts of Service: Staindrop School Charity

Staindrop Primary continued their Acts of Service theme

by undertaking a series of activities in the run-up to the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations. They engaged in tree planting within the community, a valuable activity which reminds those of all ages of the importance of green spaces for all.

In addition the children were focused on their charitable purposes with focus both on Ukranian refugees and on Ghana. Whilst the Ukraine situation is firmly in most peoples minds at present the problems in Ghana take up perhaps less focus.

Education, healthcare and sanitation are a basic right in life; something so many of us take for granted.
Ankoma Outreach aims to ensure every child has the opportunity of education, every individual has access to healthcare and good sanitation levels are maintained.

The village of Ankoma is situated in Ghana, West Africa. Although Ghana is rich in raw materials, smiles and culture, it is a less economically developed country. Through their projects, volunteer programme, and support from donors, they strive to develop Ankoma and surrounding communities through all that they do.

Well done to all the children for their work in helping others less fortunate.
